Pat Kay

Pat Kay is a Columbia, Missouri singer, songwriter, storyteller and multi-instrumentalist dedicated to keeping the musical traditions of the Ozarks alive and kicking. Armed with clawhammer banjo, guitar, harmonica, percussion and a voice built for storytelling, Kay has developed his own foot-stomping brand of old-time country blues he calls “Stompgrass.” His performances weave original songs with music passed down through generations, treating tradition not as something to preserve behind glass, but something meant to keep evolving. Whether performing solo or with projects like The Kay Brothers and The Spooklights, Pat Kay delivers a wildly energetic, unmistakably Missouri take on American roots music.
